 Abstract fish scales shimmer with gold leaf on this hand carved wooden pendant. This motif is drawn from the carved mermaids that are found in sculptures throughout the 18th century Jesuit Mission Churches in the Chiquitania region of Bolivia. The most famous mermaids are found at the base of the priest's pulpit in the Jesuit Mission church of San Miguel. Comes with adjustable leather strap. Pendant 1.5 x 1.5 inches, strap 15 inches (adjustable).
